Deanna Leiphart is a self taught painter, originally from Pennsylvania, now living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Before moving to the West Coast, Leiphart lived primarily in New York City, resident of the East Village and Brooklyn Heights/Dumbo. She has also made her home in Europe, as well as U.S. cities from Key West to Anchorage.
"Painting is how I process the complexity of emotions that comprise my experience of Life. The people I meet, and places I visit, all take part in the stories that are recreated on the canvas..... a snapshot of events that took place in a single moment, overlapping, and becoming a separate entity of itself."
Deanna Leiphart's paintings have been collected by art lovers throughout Europe, the U.S., and Haiti. Leiphart has worked for theater and opera companies painting sets, murals, and props; and has performed on stage, in feature films, and television.
